If you love the wilderness and great outdoors then you'll love the hand made and hand painted wildlife we've created for you.
Look for the original carving marks amid the painstaking details of the hand painting and then feel the difference a hand rubbed finish makes.
It looks like fine art but acts like a durable piece of furniture. Add a piece of functional art to your collection today.
Black Bear, White Tail Deer, Wolves, Grizzly Bear, Elk, Pheasant, Grouse, Ducks, Wild Turkey and Bald Eagles... Don Park has been carving all of them for over 50 years. And while this is impressive enough, it's more impressive when you discover that Don is one of the few carvers talented enough to be certified by the state of Pennsylvania as a Master Wood Carver. Truly an impressive feat to have your art so recognized!
About the Hand Carvings
Starting with nothing but a solid block of wood, a few razor sharp carving knives and a vision, Don creates each master carving in the old world tradition with the timeless secrets passed down from one generation of master carver to the next. And after countless hours of fine detailed carving does the Master Carver then turn his attention to the hand painting needed to bring each animal to life with it's own unique personality.
With the multitude of hours needed to bring one animal to life, you would expect to pay upwards of $1,000, $3,000 or even $5,000 or more for a museum quality carving of this type from an artist like Don Park and you would be right about on target. And this does not even take into account the Solid Northern Oak and Solid Pennsylvania Cherry furniture that the carving is built into. But we realize that this type of price range is a little tough for most folks so we have a special arrangement with Don.
Now you can get your hands on a limited edition reproduction of the master carving, with the same painstakingly detailed hand painting for a fraction of the price of the original.
In fact, if you take the time to do a little comparison shopping, you'll easily find furniture and accessories of comparable quality, in the same and higher price ranges, but without these beautiful carvings. It's almost like you're buying the furniture and getting the carving and artwork for free!
Take your time and examine the exquisite details in each carving. Look at the way each animal has a personality of it's own and then delve into the sceneray around the carvings. In the end, I'm sure you'll see the incredible artistry in these unique pieces.
